Youth Leadership Conference 2007

I just got back from an excellent Leadership Conference out at the Rocky Mountain Ymca Camp Chief Hector. It is a great chance for different Ymca groups to get together for a weekend of fun and learning. Along with workshops, there are also various recreational activities that are available. One of the most fun things I ended up going to was 'Indoor (Drama) Games'. It was there that I learned a game called Desperate or Dateless. That day I spent probably 2 hours throughout the day playing that game. It's very simple, involving only people and some clear floor space, but the only other game I've ever come across that is nearly as enjoyable is Spoons.
As in previous years, Dwayne Peace did the closing presentation. I'd met Dwayne before at Pre-Challenge Day training. Although I'd already seen his presentation twice, and the movie that goes with it three times, I still found it interesting and felt it's impact on me. He's an amazing speaker and showed true knowledge in what he was talking about. I look forward to next year's presentation, seeing my newly-made friends, and playing Desperate or Dateless again.
